TableScapes

TableScapes is an annual fundraising event that celebrates creativity. Local designers create unique table designs that are truly a work of art. The event is a perfect metaphor for the people we support. Just like our table designs, everyone we serve has a unique personality and their own unique needs, unlike anyone else. CCRI has made our reputation on providing services that are customized for each individual, regardless of their needs. Similar to our table designers, our teams come up with creative ideas, which are often unconventional, with one goal in mind—to enhance people’s lives.

TableScapes 2024 will be held Thursday, November 14.

If you have questions about the event, contact Adam Schroeder at Adam.Schroeder@CreativeCare.org.

Tournament in the Tundra

CCRI has teamed up with Suite Shots for a one-of-a-kind event guaranteed to be the highlight of the winter! This nine event tournament features a variety of fun sports such as baseball, football, hockey, and, of course, golf. This is not only fun for all ages and skill levels, but supports a great cause!

FM Crusaders Bike Show Auctions

Since 2009, the FM Crusaders Motorcycle Club has been raising money through their annual Bike Show’s silent and live auctions to support Camp HERO—CCRI’s three-day summer camp that gives people with disabilities the chance to experience the great outdoors in an inclusive, accessible environment.

Their 2024 event raised more than $17,000 to help keep camp affordable for the folks we serve.

Camp HERO (named for the goal of Helping Everyone Remove Obstacles) offers boating, fishing, swimming, crafts, and many more individualized activities. Outside of Camp HERO, these activities are often denied to those with disabilities because of the time and cost involved in making it a safe, accessible experience.

CCRI provides staff trained to work with individuals with disabilities as well as medical personnel to ensure camp is a safe, healthy experience for everyone. Because of the expense involved, camp fees only cover part of the costs. Donations—such as the support the Crusaders provide—help CCRI offset those costs so people of all income levels can enjoy camp.

CCRI Mental Health Talk & Walk

Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with an inspirational talk from motivational speaker, business owner, radio host, and professional MMA fighter Mariah Prussia, followed by a walk to raise awareness about the importance of mental health.

Mariah Prussia has made her mark on the Fargo–Moorhead area and beyond through her personal training, self-defense instruction, writing, broadcasting, and most of all sharing what she’s learned with others. As Mariah says, “Life is an opportunity to help individuals reach their full potential by elevating the energy in the room, unlocking their mind to new ways of thinking, and providing essential tools for personal and professional growth. It’s time to define the fight!”

Walking has been shown to increase our mental alertness, energy, and positive mood. Join us as we raise our heartrates—and awareness about the importance of taking care of our mental health. During the walk, information on area mental health resources will be available.

When: Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

4 P.M.—Motivational Talk with Mariah Prussia

5–7 P.M.—Mental Health Walk (Stop by for a few minutes—or stay the whole time!)

CCRI Block Party

CCRI Block Party

Join us as we celebrate the 10th anniversary in our building—with a CCRI Block Party! We’ll have food, music, games, and more to thank you for your support over the years and celebrate everything your generosity has helped us accomplish.

What truly makes this event special is the opportunity to connect with the incredible individuals we support. So, gather your friends, family, and neighbors, and join us for a fun celebration for all ages.

We’re looking for businesses, organizations, and service groups to set up carnival-style activities and hand out candy or small prizes to help the folks we support and the public have a great time. Think: ring toss, prize wheels, disk drop, cornhole, and more! This is a great way to market yourself and have some fun in the process. Interested? Contact Adam Schroeder at Adam.Schroeder@CreativeCare.org to register.

When: Wednesday, May 22, from 4–7 P.M.

Where: CCRI parking lot and grounds, 2903 15th St. S., Moorhead
